The WVU Marching Band has been extremely fortunate to have had many quality students pass through its ranks. Every year the WVU Marching Band recognizes those people at their annual end-of-season banquet. These awards recognize those individuals who show outstanding dedication throughout the Marching Season.

The West Virginia University Foundation announced today (Oct. 23) the 2008 Pride Travel Fund has received more than $78,500 from 748 donors to date. The ongoing fund was established to help defer the cost of travel for the “Pride of West Virginia” WVU Marching Band.

A check was presented to the band during halftime of the WVU-Auburn University football game at Milan Puskar Stadium on Thursday, October 23.

The WVU Foundation has officially "kicked-off" the 2008 "Pride Travel Fund," which is an effort to raise money to help the Mountaineer Marching Band travel this fall in support of the Mountaineer Football team, the University, and the State!  If you would like more information on this effort, or if you would like to make a donation, please visit pridetravelfund.com for more information!
